Meet the Team: Morgan O'Marro, Customer Success Manager
We're ecstatic that Morgan has decided to join the Roots team as our new Customer Success Manager! Morgan is bringing over 4 years of experience in customer-facing roles with her to Roots. Get to know Morgan a bit more in our newest blog post, formatted as a Q&A style interview.
Tell us a little bit about yourself, your career path to date, your passions, and your experience working in customer success.
I have had a passion for customer service ever since I was a kid. Growing up, I was fortunate enough to go to Disneyland frequently. Even at a young age, I was impressed with how top notch Disney’s customer service was and how the staff interacted with guests. Thanks to those experiences, I knew I wanted a career where I could work with customers and implement those same ideals in my work. I have 4+ years experience in client services and implementation within the HR and tech space. I specifically enjoy working with HR leaders because they are often thought leaders in their respective space which is so impactful to the current working climate.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
Disneyland trips, trying new recipes in the kitchen, & spending time at the beach!
What initially piqued your interest about Roots?
I knew I wanted to continue working in the HR tech space. Having used Roots at a previous company, I knew how awesome the product was. Being a previous user of the product makes it easy to become an advocate to our client base and I want to continue to promote how great Roots is.
What are the biggest problems you see impacting the workplace today?
As we emerge into a new work environment, some employees are more at risk from burnout while working at home. It is easy to get caught up in work and put in long hours in the WFH world, which everyone can agree isn’t great for morale. Teams also have to adjust to stay connected in the remote work environment.
How excited are you to join the Roots team?!
I couldn’t be more excited! When I found Roots I knew it was going to be an awesome fit and I was eager to get started. The team is hungry and passionate which is the type of environment and culture I am excited to be a part of.
